Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain radiology equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Work closely with radiologists and other physicians to determine the most appropriate imaging techniques.
  • Prepare patients for radiology procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to protect patients and staff.
  • Analyze images to ensure their clarity and accuracy, identifying any issues that may need further attention.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including details of the procedure, the images taken, and any observations or concerns.
  • Stay up-to-date with advances in radiology technology and techniques, participating in professional development activities as necessary.
  • Assist in the management of the radiology department, including scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Radiology Technician or in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating various radiology equipment, especially X-ray technology.
  • Strong knowledge of radiology safety procedures and best practices.
  • Excellent patient care skills, with the ability to explain complex procedures and put patients at ease.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret radiology images accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A degree in radiology technology from an accredited institution.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.

Pay

$25 - $40 per hour
