About the role

Seeking a Healthcare Consultant to assess and improve perioperative services operations within a surgery department.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating departmental workflows, scheduling, and patient care processes from pre-admission to post-operative care.
• Assessing utilization of surgical equipment, instrumentation, and supplies.
• Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and staff training materials.
• Analyzing department budgeting practices for efficiency.
• Providing recommendations to enhance productivity, quality, and service delivery.

Qualifications

Current, unencumbered RN licensure with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s in business, management, or nursing. At least five years of healthcare experience, with two dedicated to perioperative services leadership.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Effective communication skills across organizational levels
• Preferred certifications include CNOR or CAPA, with additional MHS/DHA experience advantageous.
