About the Role

This position enables the Order Set Operations team in supporting the go-live and post go-live Expanse implementation, including delivering on the SLA expectations created by the Expanse Order Set Strategy program. The role primarily supports all aspects of order set deployment, including build, maintenance, and issue resolution.
Responsibilities
- Experience with installation of clinical electronic healthcare systems, with a focus on medication management and order set implementation.
- Working knowledge of Health Information Systems, specifically as they relate to pharmacy and medication workflows.
- Assimilate feedback from clients and actively drive process improvement and culture change as implemented/approved by leadership.
- Advise clients on optimal medication ordering workflows, medication safety best practices, and Expanse system functionality using professional knowledge and experience.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal and written), customer service focus, and ability to work independently or on a project team.
- Share knowledge with project teams and clients to drive medication-focused workflow adoption and optimization.
- Incorporate Lessons Learned into departmental practice and methodology, particularly related to medication order-set governance and optimization.
- Prioritize tasks and assist peers with task identification and documentation.
- Drive client communication processes to enhance understanding of medication order-set design, build timelines, validation, testing activities, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Independently monitor work for accuracy and thoroughness, with a strong emphasis on medication safety and standardization.
- Develop documentation and project content for internal or external use, including medication order-set specifications and build standards.
- Openly share knowledge with peers via Peer-to-Peer training.
- Provide coaching and technical/functional guidance on medication-related project deliverables.
- Lead communication of requirements to development, testing, education, and training teams.
Requirements
- PharmD with 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong knowledge and experience with either MEDITECH Expanse OM and/or PHA, focused on medication order-set build, dictionaries, testing, training, and support (highly preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint (highly preferred).
- Strong documentation skills, organization skills, and ability to interact cross-functionally with team members.
- Ability to create deliverables independently, adapt to changes, and remain flexible.
- Good organization skills.
