Northrop Grumman is in need of a well-experienced Structural Engineer to work with its Propulsion Systems & Control (PS&C) unit. The structural analyst is desired for part-time consulting services on an as-needed basis. The duties of the position entail consultation on structural and materials issues, participation in analysis and design reviews, and possible support for customer technical meetings. This position will support programs in rocket propulsion.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience plus a bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field.
• Extensive background in rocket propulsion structural analysis, with particular emphasis on rocket nozzle material response under extreme thermal environments.

Pay

Primary level salary range: $1.00 – $2.00 per hour (general guideline). Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
