Consulting Engineer - Nuclear
Job Overview
The consulting engineer functions as part of a corporate risk management team that interfaces with multiple nuclear plant departments to implement the risk management (PRA) program. This includes providing technical consulting on a wide range of engineering and regulatory projects in addition to supporting day-to-day nuclear power plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Maintenance Rule implementation
- Advising work planners on scheduling of maintenance activities to minimize risk
- Maintaining and updating configuration risk management (CRM) software models
- Responding to emergent plant risk management activities and risk-related issues
- Interfacing with plant operations and other engineering departments on risk-related items
- Developing and maintaining risk-related documentation and training material
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
