About the role
The Consulting Actuary – Pharmacy serves as a senior-level individual contributor within the Pharmacy Analytics team, supporting the organization’s pharmacy strategy through advanced actuarial and analytical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with all levels and divisions within the organization, including Divisional Leadership
- Serves as a subject matter expert for pharmacy rebate trends and forecasting
- Maintains and forecasts pharmacy profitability, communicating findings to leadership
- Provides actuarial support for corporate pharmacy initiatives
- Collaborates with key pharmacy stakeholders, including senior leadership, on relevant pharmacy topics
- Monitors industry news and ensures the company remains competitive
- Reviews advanced data analytic methods and identifies opportunities for improvement
- Works with external vendors, including PBM partners
- Represents actuarial team during meetings with management from other functional areas
- Performs complex actuarial analyses and generates actionable insights
- Supports strategic decision-making to drive business outcomes
- Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders and other actuarial teams to align with enterprise priorities
- Guides and oversees junior team members, supporting their development and ensuring consistent, accurate, and timely deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
- Member of the American Academy of Actuaries
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries
- 7 years of relevant actuarial experience, with related experience considered
- In lieu of an FSA, candidates with an ASA designation and at least 9 years of relevant actuarial experience may be considered
- Experience with Pharmacy Analytics is highly preferred

- Passes continuing education standards required for job function, thought leadership, and maintenance of actuarial credentials
