Consultant State and Local Tax (SALT) Summer 2027 | Multiple Locations
About the role
At Forvis Mazars, we view state taxes as an opportunity to save. In this position, you will look for opportunities for savings in the area of state and local taxes (SALT). Our SALT team has extensive training in tax accounting, tax law, compliance, audits, and economic development benefits, and experience with the tax laws in many states. Our SALT solutions apply to sales and use taxes, income, and franchise taxes, property taxes, credits and incentives, and many more thorough understandings of multi-state sales & use taxes.
Description & Requirements

- Knowledge of multi-state income and franchise taxes

Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Consultant positions in SALT require a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance
- Preferred Qualifications: GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall); Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or other professional certifications' exams

Pay
The salary range for this role is $66,000 - $70,000 per year in Colorado. The salary for this position will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
