About the role
We are seeking Senior Consultants to join our FAAS & Risk Insurance advisory team, supporting clients in the insurance sector in Tunisia and internationally. You will work on high-value-added projects related to accounting, financial reporting, and risk management, with a focus on IFRS standards, financial statement reliability, internal control evaluation, and optimization of financial and regulatory processes. This role includes managerial responsibilities such as coordinating assignments, mentoring junior consultants, and direct client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth accounting analyses and contribute to the production and reliability of financial statements (local standards and IFRS, including IFRS 17 and IFRS 9).
- Evaluate internal control systems related to financial processes (closing, reporting, technical provisions, reinsurance, etc.).
- Identify and analyze financial and operational risks, proposing improvement recommendations.
- Participate in the review and optimization of accounting and reporting processes (quality, timelines, regulatory compliance).
- Produce technical deliverables (accounting memos, internal control diagnostics, normative impact analyses, recommendations, etc.).
- Plan and coordinate mission work, ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality, and budgets.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior consultants (task allocation, deliverable review, skill development).
- Maintain operational client relationships (meeting facilitation, presenting findings, managing requests).
Requirements
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in accounting, finance, or equivalent. Specialization in insurance, internal control, or risk management is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in audit, financial consulting, or internal control within the insurance sector. Exposure to IFRS 17, Solvency II, regulatory reporting, or finance transformation projects is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of the insurance sector and applicable accounting/financial principles for insurance companies.
- Proficiency in IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 17 and IFRS 9.
- Ability to analyze financial and operational data.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI), SQL, or consolidation/reporting tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
- Strong technical writing ability for memos and mission reports.
- Analytical and synthesis skills, rigor, and organizational ability.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work autonomously.
- Strong communication and interaction skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to mentor junior profiles.
- Adaptability in a demanding and evolving environment.
