Responsibilities
- Provide technical support on environmental impact assessments and sustainability-related projects.
- Prepare plans, permits, and reports related to wetlands, stormwater, NPDES, and wastewater programs.
- Conduct environmental compliance assessments and support implementation of corrective actions to meet federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform fieldwork, including ecological field studies and site assessments.
- Deliver general environmental compliance support, including on-site client assistance as needed.
- Compile, evaluate, and interpret environmental data; contribute to high-quality technical report preparation.
- Execute project tasks within scope, budget, and schedule expectations while meeting ERM’s quality standards.
- Collaborate with Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to deliver exceptional client value and project outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental studies, or a related science discipline, or equivalent experience (8+ years).
- 2-3 years (5 years preferred) of relevant environmental consulting experience and/or professional internships.
- Strong commitment to health and safety in both field and office environments.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and interpret technical data.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and data analysis tools.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and adapt to changing project needs.
- Willingness and ability to travel as project demands require.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting environmental impact assessments and compliance programs in the energy sector.
- Familiarity with wetlands, stormwater, NPDES, and wastewater permitting and reporting.
- Local or regional knowledge of Minnesota and surrounding regulatory environments.

Pay
The anticipated annual base pay for this position is $70,500–$97,429 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs.
