About the role
Playfly Sports is seeking a Consultant, Sales, Service, and Operations to join our team at Santa Clara University. Revenue will be generated primarily through outbound phone calls, supplemented by email marketing, face-to-face presentations, and in-arena/stadium tours. This position also includes ticket operations responsibilities related to processing, fulfillment, and distribution of tickets. Day-to-day leadership and mentoring will be provided by Aspire Leadership.
Responsibilities
- Perform outbound and service inbound calls for the Athletics Department for nine (9) ticketed Men's & Women's sports.
- Generate revenue through renewals, cross-selling, upgrades, add-ons, group tickets and experiences, partial/mini-plan packages, single game tickets, and stand-alone donations.
- Prospect and maintain relationships with current and past customers, cold leads, local businesses, and individuals via phone, email, text, in-person appointments, and networking events.
- Make a minimum of 60 outbound calls daily, meeting or exceeding established sales activity and revenue goals.
- Set and execute out-of-office and arena tour appointments to grow relationships and revenue within the current fan base.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospects and customers within the ticketing database.
- Service general fan questions and convert inquiries into ticket packages.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all fans, donors, sponsors, and prospective buyers.
- Oversee box office windows, manage will-call and credential lists, and act as Manager on Duty to handle guest relocations and escalated customer service issues.
- Manage home and visiting team pass lists and admission gates.
- Troubleshoot digital ticketing issues and guest relocations.
- Execute ticket order processing, ticket printing, fulfillment, distribution, and reporting.
- Serve as point of contact for student-workers as directed by the Director of Ticket Sales & Operations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1 year of proven sales experience required; ticket sales preferred.
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and detail-oriented.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required.
- Desire to start and grow a career in the sports ticket sales industry or collegiate athletics.
- Previous customer service or retail sales experience; display a genuine desire to help people.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills.
- Ability to communicate equally well with executives, staff, and fans at all levels.
- Ability to work well with others and comfortable taking initiative.
