About the role
This role supports financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed research on product lines to inform underwriting decisions
- Analyze risks and prepare reports to recommend action plans
- Manage complex projects and workflow efficiency in underwriting processes
- Underwrite new business, renewals, and endorsements for middle market accounts
- Drive business development and resolve issues through agent consultations
- Develop and deliver training as a subject matter expert for underwriting staff
- Strengthen relationships with agents and internal partners for business growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Completion of INS, AU or similar designations; progress toward CIC and/or CPCU is preferred
- Typically ten years of progressively responsible commercial lines middle market underwriting experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial underwriting policies, practices, and regulations
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Pay
$108,000 – $200,000 annually
