About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Systems & Consolidation Manager to lead financial consolidation processes, ERP optimization initiatives, and finance systems improvements within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will serve as a key liaison between Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT to ensure the integrity of financial reporting, streamline consolidation activities, and maximize the effectiveness of ERP and financial systems.
Must be willing to work onsite at clients either in Charlotte, NC or RTP (Research Triangle Park) area, NC.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Manage and enhance financial systems, consolidation tools, and ERP platforms to support business growth and reporting requirements.
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Operations, and IT teams to optimize financial processes and system functionality.
- Drive system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support the development and maintenance of financial reporting structures, master data governance, and chart of accounts.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities for automation and standardization across finance and accounting functions.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes through system enhancements and data integrity initiatives.
- Develop reporting dashboards and financial analytics to improve decision-making capabilities.
- Provide training and support to end users on financial systems and reporting tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Systems, or Consolidations.
- Strong experience with financial consolidations and external/internal financial reporting.
- Hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or similar).
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial close processes, and consolidation methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects involving finance and technology teams.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CMA, or MBA.
- Experience with consolidation applications such as OneStream, Hyperion, HFM, FCCS, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, conversions, or optimization projects.
- Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory accounting, and operational reporting.
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
