About the team

You will join the collaborative Global Roche Consulting team—specifically the Operational Excellence Consulting sub-chapter (DSGRO). We partner with our sales organizations worldwide to standardize processes and tools and drive innovation. Our Commercial Lab Design unit bridges the gap between sales and the global organization, ensuring tailored tool and process solutions as well as concrete planning. Responsibilities

  • Take independent responsibility for the management, capacity allocation, and budgeting of global laboratory planning projects, as well as the further development and scaling of global laboratory planning tools
  • Lead stakeholder workshops for the precise gathering and analysis of future customer and workflow requirements
  • Develop holistic 2D and 3D laboratory layout plans using state-of-the-art CAD and BIM software (especially Revit)
  • Consistently integrate LEAN principles and sustainability aspects into customized spatial concepts and ensure compliance with international standards
  • Support the co-development and further development of global, internal tools and actively drive innovation in ongoing projects, developing sustainable standards from them and successfully scaling them across our international affiliates
  • Manage the external partner network and ensure quality as well as the formal sign-off of project milestones
  • Visually prepare complex technical matters and confidently present intermediate and final concepts to international clients
  • Design and lead worldwide on-site training sessions to actively share your knowledge of sustainable laboratory planning within the Roche community
  • Continuously monitor technology trends and evaluate innovative software solutions for the laboratory planning of the future

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed degree (Bachelor/Master) in architecture, civil engineering, or a comparable field of study
  • Several years of solid professional experience in laboratory planning, technical facility management, or the design of complex building structures
  • Deep knowledge of Revit, experience in 3D visualization, as well as sound, practical knowledge of BIM and LEAN methodologies
  • Strong intercultural communication skills, fluent English (B2 level), and a willingness for global on-site deployments (Spanish skills are a plus)
  • Basic understanding of business administration for budget monitoring and a strong awareness of sustainable planning processes
