Consultant International Tax Winter 2028 | Multiple Locations

About the role

The International Tax Consultant works with Forvis Mazars' ITS team in completing international tax compliance and planning projects. These projects include IC-DISC analysis and return preparation, tax reporting for foreign operations of US companies, earnings & profits calculations, foreign tax credit calculations, and other projects as required.

Responsibilities

• Working with other professionals within the Tax Specialty team
• Providing tax consulting and compliance in a professional environment for the effective diagnosis, solution, development, and implementation of tax solutions
• Helping to draft and assist in the delivery of client projects; use quantitative analysis to solve issues that arise
• Assisting with US tax reporting for international transactions
• Assisting with providing IC-DISC administration and compliance
• Learning aspects of Global Mobility Services tax including social security, tax planning, tax compliance and withholding tax implications for employees working outside the US
• Delivering Forvis Mazars' commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
• Maintenance of a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• All accounting (or job-relevant) coursework must be completed with a grade of C or above
• Intermediate Accounting completed with a grade of C or above, where applicable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing tax work
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam or have CPA certification
