What Your Impact Is
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 clients, providing onsite support and strategic guidance.
- Conduct safety risk assessments, inspections, and observations to ensure compliance and protect personnel.
- Help develop and implement innovative EHS programs in areas such as Hazard Communication, Injury Illness Prevention, Chemical Management, and Process Safety.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
- Build strong client relationships and deliver high-quality solutions that exceed expectations.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or related science degree.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and client-focused.
- Willingness to travel to and be at client site(s) for up to 40 hours/week primarily within the Northern California San Fran Bay Area, California.
Preferred
- Master's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or related science degree.
- Expertise in California-specific EHS regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Help develop and implement innovative safety programs, to help our growing local and global clients address a wide array of Safety challenges including: Auditing/Assessments, Biohazards, Chemical or Lab Safety, Data Analysis, Electrical Safety and NFPA 70E, Fire Prevention, Industrial Hygiene, Laser Safety, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Machine Guarding, Process Hazard Assessments, Robotics Safety, Safety Process Improvement.
- Perform building hazardous materials inspections, hazardous/biohazardous waste inspections, and verify client compliance requirements.
- Support EHS permitting requirements.
- Conduct audits, onsite compliance inspections, risk assessments, and industrial hygiene evaluations.
- Collect and analyze field data; prepare technical reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement EHS programs and strategies.
- Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance across all deliverables.
Pay
The anticipated annual base pay for the Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety position is $80,000 – $100,613 USD. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range.
