Consultant, Commodity Management

About the role

Commodity Management within the PowerEdge Supply Chain Team (WWP) develops and implements plans to support forecasted needs for suppliers and commodities. The team uses in-depth knowledge of foreign and domestic markets to negotiate supplier agreements and contracts with optimum pricing and terms. It also harnesses understanding of commodity qualities, transportation options, risk management, and supply chain evaluation models to develop optimal commodity management strategies — with a focus on enabling Dell's AI Server portfolio growth.

Responsibilities

• Own the commodity management strategy for AI Server components
• Lead sourcing activities for AI Server components
• Manage supplier performance
• Drive cost optimization initiatives
• Ensure supply assurance in one of Dell's fastest-growing and most strategic segments
• Partner across Engineering, Supply Chain, and suppliers to secure the right components at the right cost, quality, and time
• Support next-generation AI infrastructure
