You’ll analyze, design, implement, and sustain RPA solutions to drive business efficiencies and results, focusing on technology resources and processes.

This is a hybrid in-office role based in Columbus, OH, requiring in-office presence on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with key stakeholders to evaluate and assess business needs and priorities, then recommend and develop solutions to enable success.
  • Implement and support robotic process automation solutions using tools like NEVA, Automation Anywhere, and Power Automate.
  • Analyze process steps and interdependencies in existing business applications typically handled by human users.
  • Standardize processes to ensure higher levels of automation success.
  • Monitor industry trends and utilize expertise to determine potential implications and opportunities for Nationwide.
  • Test automation and suggest changes based on functional requirements.
  • Conduct value stream mapping and Return on Investment (ROI) calculations to measure success and refine processes.
  • Analyze data to understand current state and improvements gained through automation.
  • Ensure quality automation using Quality Assurance (QA) processes and prevent potential bugs.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of process changes, defects, and results.
  • Participate in project review meetings with customers and other team members.
  • Monitor and maintain automation post-implementation and resolve issues to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Identify business operations processes feasible for automation, assess and document technical and functional requirements.
  • Provide recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes through new or existing technology.
  • Support the development of RPA strategies, policies, and plans, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and goals.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of RPA or related experience.
  • Undergraduate studies in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field; graduate studies preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to apply advanced knowledge of RPA to business problems.
  • Proven knowledge of performance measurement and style analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of workflow systems, macros, low-code automation, and related technology solutions.
  • Experience using online collaboration technologies such as SharePoint, MS Teams, Jira, and Outlook.
  • Understanding and exposure to T-SQL/PL-SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, C#, Java, Visual Basic, reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, WebFOCUS), and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, MS-SQL Server, Netezza) are a plus.

Job Conditions

  • Normal office environment with occasional extended work hours based on workload.
  • May require occasional travel.
  • Overtime eligibility: Exempt (not eligible for overtime pay).

Pay

The national salary range for this role is $108,000–$200,000. The expected starting salary range is $108,000–$162,000, with placement determined by skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as market labor costs.
