About the role

Alpha is a unique educational platform operating in-person at various campuses across the United States. The role involves working with K-8 students to develop essential life skills such as public speaking, concentration, teamwork, and feedback exchange. The position is ideal for individuals with experience in coaching, counseling, or mentoring young people.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating one-hour life skill workshops for K-8 students focused on public speaking, concentration, teamwork, and feedback exchange (project-based and hands-on)
  • Conducting daily individual and small-group motivation sessions to review student progress in adaptive learning platforms (via Coachbot analytics), establish goals, and drive students toward 100% weekly completion
  • Delivering and assessing Test2Pass evaluations to verify genuine mastery of life skills, not merely attendance
  • Adjusting your coaching approach across diverse age groups, from kindergarteners requiring high energy and physical activity to 8th graders needing direct conversation and accountability
  • Cultivating authentic connections with each student so they trust your guidance through resistance, distraction, and uncertainty

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience with K-8 students (teaching, coaching, counseling, or youth program management)
  • Demonstrated experience motivating or coaching K-8 students toward academic, behavioral, or extracurricular objectives, with at least one concrete example you can articulate
  • Daily engagement with generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude)
  • Ability to work in-person at an Alpha campus located in Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA; Oklahoma City, OK; Nashville, TN; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX (Central Houston, South Houston, or The Woodlands); or Park City, UT (relocation assistance provided)
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Background in youth sports coaching, camp leadership, or after-school programs where you held direct responsibility for motivating children toward specific objectives
  • History of significant personal accomplishment (academic distinctions, competitive sports, or leadership positions requiring sustained high performance)
  • Innate storytelling capability: you can maintain the attention of a room full of 12-year-olds for an hour without elevating your voice
  • Prominent ability to motivate disengaged or reluctant students and convert them into engaged contributors

Benefits

Full health, dental, and vision coverage begins on day one. The position offers a competitive compensation package including a $100,000 annual salary paid weekly. The role is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year.
