About the Role

Join Iris Telehealth as a Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist to support emergency department and inpatient teams with high-quality psychiatric evaluations and consultations—all from your home. This role offers weekend flexibility (1-2 weekend days per month) and a remote-first environment within a nationally recognized, award-winning health system.

  • Setting: 100% remote consults for inpatient, emergency department, and ER
  • Compensation: W2 at $175/hour (productivity-based to maximize earnings); 1099 options available at $185/hour
  • Patient Population: All ages (5+ preferred in ER settings)
  • Schedule: 13-16 shifts per month, including 1-2 weekend shifts
  • NP Supervision: Collaborate with highly trained Iris PMHNPs

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality psychiatric evaluations and consultations for emergency department and inpatient teams
  • Treat patients ages 5+ in ER/ED consult settings
  • Work with multiple health systems and varying acuity levels
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver impactful care to underserved communities

Qualifications

  • Active medical license; Texas or Georgia license required (IMLC Letter of Qualification preferred)
  • Completion of a 4-year ACGME Residency Program in Psychiatry (experienced PMHNPs may be considered)
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry
  • At least 2 years of post-residency consult-liaison experience
  • Experience and willingness to treat patients ages 5+ for ED/ER consults
  • Comfortable working with multiple health systems and varying acuity levels
  • Must reside in the U.S. or a U.S. territory
