Construction Worker

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform demolition and surface preparation
• Make specific cuts in drywall or stucco for repair work
• Install and finish drywall panels on walls and ceilings
• Measure, cut, and fit drywall materials accurately, including backing
• Tape, mud, sand, and texture drywall surfaces
• Prepare surfaces for stucco application
• Mix and apply stucco materials to surfaces
• Repair cracks, holes, and damaged drywall or stucco
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely
• Load and unload construction materials
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow building codes and safety regulations
• Work with supervisors and team members to complete projects on time

Qualifications

• Experience in drywall installation or stucco work preferred
• Knowledge of construction tools and materials
• Ability to lift heavy materials
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Complete tasks efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• OSHA or construction safety training is a plus

Preferred Skills

• Stucco patching and texture matching OR Drywall finishing and texture matching
• Experience on reconstruction or construction projects
• Skill in supply & use of construction hand and power tools
• Effective communication with supervisors and team members

Work Environment

• Residential construction sites, including multifamily communities
• Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions
