Construction Technician (SWPPP)

Responsibilities

  • Visiting construction sites to perform Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections.
  • Ensuring erosion and sediment control elements are installed and functioning properly.
  • Preparing a summary report, including photographs of deficient areas and systems, at the end of each inspection on the same date.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • SWPPP certification from EPA or DEQ (optional).
  • Own a reliable vehicle.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Experience in geology, geotechnical engineering, or construction project management is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor conditions.

Skills

  • Knowledge of stormwater pollution prevention and control.
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
