Construction Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Technician to perform a variety of construction tasks, including structural upgrades and repairs. You will ensure high-quality workmanship from start to finish, including loading and mixing materials, assisting where needed, and maintaining a clean and safe worksite. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with a positive, can-do attitude and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Install required structural upgrades for accounts
• Complete home repairs such as roof repairs, minor stucco and drywall, and structural upgrades
• Provide project review and material sourcing
• Mix paint, ingredients, or chemicals, according to specification
• Maintain a high quality of workmanship
• Load and unload materials
• Perform job site cleanup and maintain vehicle with equipment for each project
• May assist with organizing equipment in the warehouse when support is needed
• Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and company standards
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 2 years of residential construction or solar experience
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers and team members
• Ability to transport materials and equipment (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
• Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces, requiring frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
• Ability to work in confined spaces, including kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions, including excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environments, and humidity
• Frequent use of hand functions requiring fine motor skills, including fine manipulation, grasping, and pinching
• Up to 25% travel may be required

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to climb and work from 20-foot ladders
• Comfortable working in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and variable weather
• Capable of working in attics and other confined spaces when necessary
• Must be able to walk rooftops of varying slopes and materials
• Ability to work in the sun and possibly low-light conditions
• Ability to work with chemicals using appropriate protection

Pay

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity: $26.40 to $35.21 per hour. Compensation decisions will not be based on a candidate's salary history.
