About the Role
As the Team Lead, you will lead a crew of employees in servicing and repairing modular buildings. You’ll coordinate and prioritize the work schedule for the production crew, assign tasks to modular mechanics and general maintenance employees, and verify quality according to company standards.
Responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance and construction on modular buildings, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and cleaning
- Monitor team members to meet productivity, quality, and safety requirements
- Ensure the team maintains tools, supplies, and work areas consistent with the 6S checklist
- Actively participate in safety meetings and training for crew members
- Carry out current industry safety practices, including knowledge of OSHA requirements
- Conduct daily and weekly safety audits and document results
- Provide continuous training for crew members and new employees; coach and counsel team members as needed
- Act as a backfill for other leaders when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
Schedule
Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in the construction or related industry, performing and leading general construction trades
- Able to effectively lead a team and offer guidance and direction
- Able to read and understand blueprints, schematics, procedures, and company-specific work orders, work instructions, and floor plans
- Able to work outside in variable weather conditions
- Ability to use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines
- Able to safely perform all tasks and understand company safety policies and procedures
- Deliver high-quality output consistent with company construction standards
- Able to take, record, and follow standard measurements and cut or separate materials to specific measurements or quantities
- Able to read company construction documents (provided in English) and provide guidance to the construction team
- Fluency in spoken and written Spanish preferred
- Prior experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other specialties preferred
- Prior experience overseeing a team of at least 6 employees desired
- Knowledge of current building codes (2016 CBC, 2018 IBC, and ADA) a plus
- Knowledge of LEAN principles a plus
- Ability to complete material and labor takeoffs from blueprints a plus
- Valid driver’s license
Special Considerations
- Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objects
- Able to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder, and perform other manual labor activities
