Job Qualifications
- 1 - 2 years related experience
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience
- Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience
- Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years
Education
- Bachelor’s degree is desired and counts towards 4 years of experience
- Associates degree counts towards 2 years of experience
Skills
Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements).
Required Experience
Assesses, identifies and communicates recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
Follow and enforce customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
Conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
Photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets.
Desired Experience

Other Requirements
- Complete additional safety training and/or certification as required by local site (i.e., OSHA 10 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection and OSHA Confined Space) within the first 30 days of hire.
- Must obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course completion within the first 30 days of hire.

The likely salary range for this position is $64,230 - $71,990.

About the Role
The Construction Surveillance Technician’s primary function is to provide day to day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts.

Must have a Secret clearance to start and be willing and able to obtain up to a TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
