Construction Surety Bond Underwriter

About the role

This position will support all Bond lines of business strategies by marketing and underwriting business in partnership with field office specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Construction industry experience a plus
• 3+ years of contract surety underwriting experience preferred
• Must be a multi-dimensional team player, possess strong product knowledge, sales ability, and underwriting expertise.
• Valid driver's license as this position may utilize a company vehicle.
• Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining solid relationships with all internal and external business partners.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• An ability to think analytically about business problems, make recommendations and propose solutions.
• High energy self-starter, who is resilient and has an entrepreneurial spirit.

Schedule

This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Overland Park, KS or Creve Coeur, MO) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Pay

The annualized base pay range for this role is: $76,400 - $140,400. The posted salary range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
