Responsibilities

• Ensure contractor compliance with Civil Work and Structurework scope in terms of quality of work carried out, materials, and tools used.
• Ensure approved project documentation, drawings, construction standards, codes, technical specifications, and safety rules are applied.
• Oversee inspection of Civil Work and Structure activities at fabrication shops and construction sites.
• Conduct follow-up with suppliers, contractors, and construction sites.
• Input results of inspections and observations into the dedicated Completions Management System for all CW and Structure construction (e.g., piling, foundation, erection of pipe racks, roads, drainage, pouring concrete).
• Ensure material certificates comply with codes and project specifications.
• Verify rogue and counterfeit items during inspection and surveillance; report immediately to Project QA/QC Manager if found.
• Ensure suppliers and contractors have relevant, up-to-date codes, standards, specifications, and drawings.
• Witness or participate in equipment receiving inspections at construction sites or contractor’s premises to identify potential damage, shortages, and overages.
• Verify that materials (cement, aggregate, structure, etc.) are preserved per supplier’s recommendations and approved project preservation procedures.
• Approve suppliers’ and contractors’ work by attending inspections/tests or reviewing documents.
• Schedule monitoring for progress and quality control.
• Perform routine surveillance and inspection, as per approved Inspection and Test Plan, of Civil Work and Structure activities at fabrication shops and construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and procedures.
• Ensure all CW engines are certified and validate passports as per company procedure.
• Support project personnel by performing additional tasks as directed and commensurate with skills.
• Interface professionally with discipline engineers, construction engineers, (pre-)commissioning engineers, and other inspectors.
• Participate in acceptance of the project and handover to operations.
• Carry out technical acceptance of completed works and facilities; prepare engineering documentation as required.
• Ensure all construction deficiencies, defects, and outstanding punch items are satisfactorily liquidated within the agreed time period set by the acceptance commission.
• Coordinate with Project Engineering Department and Contractor Engineering Department regarding designs and drawings of CW and Structure.
• Progressively review contractor’s quality records.
• Comply with company HSE Golden Rules and Life Saving Rules.

Requirements

• Knowledge of decrees, resolutions, orders, and technical procedures related to Civil Work and Structureworks.
• Familiarity with the most up-to-date national and international standards and methods for performing Civil Work and Structure works, including ROK requirements.
• Supervisory skills in brownfield and greenfield construction site management and execution, labor management, fundamentals of labor legislation, protection standards, and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent IT skills.
