Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily activities of a team of technicians or workers in telecom cable construction projects to ensure project execution as per the timelines, quality and cost.
- Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations, certifications, and company policies to ensure safety standards and compliance with regulations.
- Assign tasks and schedules to team members including ITG employees and employees of business partners, ensuring correct resource allocation and equipment availability to optimize utilization, productivity and delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management review to enable timely decision making and intervention for improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety practices.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in telecom cable construction (aerial or underground). Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge: Proven track record of safe work practices and quality delivery. Exposure to industry standards, safety regulations, and construction work practices. Familiarity with telecom, broadband, and power industry projects. Experience with construction management software and tools. Understanding of basic financial concepts related to project budgeting/ cost.
