About the role

The Construction Superintendent will oversee and manage projects in the Renewable Energy sector, specifically focusing on utility scale solar installations. This full-time travel position involves managing day-to-day operations at various project sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring efficient work and adherence to project specifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with owners, service providers, and vendors.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, progress, and any issues or concerns.
  • Supervise and direct on-site personnel, including operators, laborers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and compliance with company standards.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards promptly.
  • Maintain and ensure consistent and accurate field reporting including daily reports, extra work orders, safety logs, and incident reports.
  • Identify and track additional work beyond the original scope.
  • Inspect all equipment onsite daily and report to management with needed repairs.
  • Track project quantities for scheduling, record keeping, and billing in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on renewable energy or heavy civil projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, OSHA) are a plus.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work 8-12 hours a day, 5-6 days a week.
  • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office program suite and web-based construction management programs.

Pay

Annual Salary: $130,000 - $200,000 based on experience
