Construction Staking Survey Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Cook up and schedule construction staking services for active land development projects.
• Chat with field crews, project managers, engineers, and contractors to nail down scope, timing, and deliverables.
• Check out construction plans, control data, and CAD files to get ready for field staking.
• Keep track of all the staking deliverables and make sure they’re properly documented and checked for quality.
• Keep an eye on project progress, manage deadlines, materials, and crew workloads proactively.

Estimating & Proposal Support

• Make detailed and competitive estimates and proposals for construction staking services.
• Analyze construction documents, specifications, and plans to figure out what’s needed.
• Collaborate with survey managers and engineers to define the project scope and cost breakdowns.
• Keep cost databases updated and maintain historical pricing information.
• Aid in budget tracking and change order preparation throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in land surveying, with at least 2 years in construction staking coordination.
• 2+ years of experience in estimating survey work or related civil engineering services.
• A strong understanding of land development processes and construction documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and project management software.
• Familiarity with local regulations, survey standards, and construction practices.
