About the Role
Generally responsible for performing construction coordination for small to moderate construction assignments under general supervision.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge and application of company engineering design and CAD drafting standards.
- Good knowledge of construction safety requirements, with a commitment to a zero-accidents environment.
- Ensure contractor’s activities are planned and executed with safety as the top priority.
- Coordinate Request for Information (RFI) from contractors, ensuring timely engineering responses and maintaining RFI logs.
- Compile building permit packages and submit them to permitting agencies.
- Coordinate the review of submittals and maintain logs of open submittals.
- Assist construction team(s) with assembling drawing packages for various phases of work.
- Assist the estimating team with miscellaneous estimates.
- Manage client relationships in complex situations.
- Relate easily to others in the business community such as customers, suppliers, contractors, government, professional, and trade associations.
- Handle stress with poise.
- Understand existing and potential customer needs and preferences.
- Clearly communicate expectations and requirements to team members.
- Set priorities effectively.
- Demonstrate excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Deliver presentations effectively.
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science, or related field from an accredited university (preferred).
- No licensing required for this position.
Skills
- Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.
- Comprehensive understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction processes.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to perform work outdoors in hot or cold climates.
- Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs, and hard hat.

- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
