Responsibilities

  • Monitor construction sites to ensure compliance with safety standards set by OSHA and company standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and hazard assessments.
  • Identify potential risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, and emergency drills.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and HR to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Manage and direct 2 on-site safety compliance officers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field or BCSP certification (ASP, GSP, STSC, SMP, CHST, OHST, CSP).
  • Minimum of 5 years of safety experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, hazard recognition, and risk management.
  • Experience conducting safety audits and inspections.
  • NFPA 70-E experience preferred.
