Construction Services Project Manager
About The Role
The Construction Services Project Manager is responsible for managing construction engineering, inspection, and construction materials testing (CMT) projects for transportation, municipal, water/wastewater, commercial, and vertical construction clients. This role oversees projects from proposal through closeout, including client coordination, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, QA/QC oversight, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a strong technical and operational leader with experience managing field personnel, maintaining client relationships, and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards including FDOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Manage CEI, inspection, materials testing, drilling coordination, and QA/QC projects
Serve as primary contact for clients, contractors, agencies, and internal teams
Prepare scopes, proposals, schedules, staffing plans, and budgets
Monitor project performance, invoicing, utilization, and profitability
Coverage subcontractors, laboratories, and field personnel
Lead project meetings and client updates
Identify and resolve project risks and scheduling challenges
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
5–10+ years of experience in CEI, CMT, construction services, or related field
Experience managing construction services, inspection, or field operations projects
Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, construction processes, and field testing standards
Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, and proposal preparation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Bluebeam or Procore
Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and client coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
