Construction Scheduler
About the Role
Keville Enterprises, Inc., a growing Construction Management Consulting and Inspection firm, is seeking candidates for a full-time Construction Scheduler to work as an owner's representative for JEA to support their capital improvements program. The successful candidates must have at least 5 years of hands-on CPM scheduling experience as a Scheduler on utility related projects such as water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, water piping, wastewater piping, force mains, and drainage projects. Responsibilities
- Meet monthly with Project Managers to update project schedules and develop reports.
- Review and comment on contractor's baseline CPM schedule submittal and monthly CPM update schedules.
- Participate in and sometimes lead schedule status meetings.
- Assist in rolling-up project CPM schedules into program level CPM master schedule.
- Analyze schedule impacts from change orders and claims.
- Work with CM, owner, designers, estimators, and inspectors to devise schedule work-arounds and to mitigate schedule delays.
- Develop and/or review contract time determination schedules for new construction projects.
- Review and comment on design schedules.
- Provide progress reporting documents and briefing materials as required.
- Develop creative reporting tools to communicate complex project sequencing and/or progress assessments.
- Report to and take direction from Senior Project Controls Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on CPM scheduling experience, with at least 3 of those years using Primavera P6 software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to read/interpret plans and specifications, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Experience in utility systems and site/civil projects is required.
- Proficient knowledge of construction means, methods and materials.
- Must have excellent computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment.
