Construction Sales Consultant

About the Role

Morton Buildings, Inc., the industry leader in post-frame construction, is seeking a full-time Sales Consultant to join our team. With over 120 years in business and a nationwide presence, we offer a challenging yet rewarding role in a team-oriented environment. This position focuses on increasing market share, cultivating new customers, and maintaining relationships with existing clients within an assigned geographical territory.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting and lead generation
• Conducting customer presentations and developing solutions
• Guiding customers through the early stages of the buying process
• Managing post-sale project details, coordinating with internal teams, and supporting builds through completion
• Hiring and managing subcontractors, navigating permitting requirements, and ensuring customer confidentiality
• Maintaining an accurate and organized sales pipeline within Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Requirements

• 2 years of sales or account management experience preferred, OR 5 years of construction management experience
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, construction, or project management preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Minimal overnight travel required beyond initial training and onboarding
• Ability to reside within 30 miles of assigned territory within 30 days of hire
• Willingness to learn and adapt to industry changes and evolving market needs

• Ability to develop and maintain a robust sales funnel
• Aptitude to grow existing market share and manage complex projects

Pay

Starting annual pay ranges from $65,000 to $85,000, including a base salary, training subsidy, and commission. Earnings expand year over year as consultants gain experience and grow their portfolios.
