Construction Safety Specialist | Rahway, NJ
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site inspections and safety observations
- Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements
- Support incident prevention through proactive hazard identification and mitigation
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and project planning activities
- Review high-risk work activities including fall protection, hot work, and electrical work
- Document observations, corrective actions, and safety performance metrics
- Partner with project management and trade partners to ensure a safe work environment
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction safety experience
- Experience supporting commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing construction projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of fall protection, hot work, electrical safety, and general construction safety practices
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- OSHA 30 required; additional safety certifications preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards
- Experience in Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation
