Construction Safety Manager, DCPD Health and Safety

About the role

This is a field based role, required to report to work at field construction projects around Shreveport, La, five days per week. Occasional travel to other domestic locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Influence program development, framework, and strategy while deploying ISO 45001-aligned programs in the field.
• Implement health and safety programs across leadership, planning, support, operational controls, continuous improvement, and performance management.
• Audit projects to the mental model 'do you have a process, and are you following it?' Then analyze data (leading and lagging indicators) for trends, risks/opportunities and report out at project/regional levels and within governance programs.
• Manage 3rd party/internal H&S resources on DCPD projects (weekly business reviews, monthly project reviews).
• Identify improvement opportunities at project(s), and partner with Data Center Health and Safety (DCHS) Operational Team on regional issues that impact construction/operations handover phases.
• Host project and regional specific contractor and internal team H&S kickoff sessions and annual performance review sessions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent.
• ASPCP, CSP, or CHST preferred.

• Diplomacy, patience, and tact.
