Construction Quality Manager (CQM)

Responsibilities

• Inspecting building projects
• Preparing daily reports
• Preparing correspondence and maintaining official construction site records
• Reviewing Contractor’s monthly payment requests and recommending payment or rejection
• Preparing required documentation for change order proposals
• Making recommendations during negotiations for change order documentation
• Reviewing submittals, shop drawings, and requests for information (RFIs)
• Using electronic project management software to monitor project schedules
• Ensuring compliance with safety practices in the construction industry, including familiarity with OSHA safety requirements

Requirements

• At least five years’ experience inspecting building projects
• Experience as an inspector on at least one project for a federal agency
• Experience working on one or more projects for the US General Services Administration preferred
• Living in either the Syracuse or Ogdensburg areas preferred
