Construction Quality Manager (CQM)

About the role

Owner’s Project Management firm seeks a Construction Quality Manager for two projects in Northern New York State.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction work and project schedules.
• Prepare daily reports and correspondence.
• Maintain official construction site records, including inspection reports and photographs/video captured with digital tools.
• Review contractor’s monthly payment requests, recommend approval or rejection, and prepare required documentation.
• Determine merit and value of change‑order proposals, support negotiations, and prepare change‑order documentation.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and requests for information (RFIs).
• Use electronic project‑management software for tracking and reporting.

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years of experience inspecting building projects.
• Experience as an inspector on at least one project for a federal agency.
• Knowledge of safety practices in construction, including familiarity with OSHA requirements.
• Proficiency with electronic project‑management software and digital documentation tools.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working on one or more projects for the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).
• Residence in the Syracuse or Ogdensburg areas of New York.

Location

Projects are located in Northern New York State, with a preference for candidates residing in the Syracuse or Ogdensburg areas.
