Construction Quality Coordinator - Water/Wastewater

Responsibilities

• Initiates a Quality Implementation Plan (QIP) for each assigned project.
• Leads design quality kick-off meetings and ensures 30% and 100% design reviews are completed and signed.
• Identifies quality risks and develops mitigation strategies early.
• Reviews final design documents and geotechnical reports; advises project leadership on critical findings.
• Safeguards geotechnical, concrete, and envelope design reviews.
• Leads construction quality kick-off meetings.
• Oversees mechanical piping QA/QC, including weld inspections, material verification, hydrostatic testing, and compliance with project specifications and codes.
• Selects and manages independent testing labs; oversees schedules, contracts, reports, and results distribution.
• Fulfills quality risk mitigation plans.
• Ensures preconstruction meetings, first work inspections, and site observations are completed as per QIP.
• Conducts QA inspections, documents deficiencies, and monitors corrective actions.
• Ensures completion conferences and AE punch list reviews are conducted and documented.
• Performs final QA inspections, verifies resolution of deficiencies, and conducts lessons learned meetings.
• Prepares and distributes lessons learned and final QIP reports.

Qualifications

• Familiar with conducting field tours, using BIM tools, and delivering clear, actionable reports.
• Experience leading preconstruction meetings and performing scheduled site inspections.
• Skilled in working with client QA teams and guiding on-site inspectors to ensure compliance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and follow through.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Skills

• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical reports.
