Responsibilities
- Initiates a Quality Implementation Plan (QIP) for each assigned project.
- Leads design quality kick-off meetings and ensures 30% and 100% design reviews are completed and signed.
- Identifies quality risks and develops mitigation strategies early.
- Reviews final design documents and geotechnical reports; advises project leadership on critical findings.
- Safeguards geotechnical, concrete, and envelope design reviews.
- Leads construction quality kick-off meetings.
- Oversees mechanical piping QA/QC, including weld inspections, material verification, hydrostatic testing, and compliance with project specifications and codes.
- Selects and manages independent testing labs; oversees schedules, contracts, reports, and results distribution.
- Fulfills quality risk mitigation plans.
- Ensures preconstruction meetings, first work inspections, and site observations are completed as per QIP.
- Conducts QA inspections, documents deficiencies, and monitors corrective actions.
- Ensures completion conferences and AE punch list reviews are conducted and documented.
- Performs final QA inspections, verifies resolution of deficiencies, and conducts lessons learned meetings.
- Prepares and distributes lessons learned and final QIP reports.
Qualifications
- Familiar with conducting field tours, using BIM tools, and delivering clear, actionable reports.
- Experience leading preconstruction meetings and performing scheduled site inspections.
- Skilled in working with client QA teams and guiding on-site inspectors to ensure compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and follow through.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical reports.
