Construction Quality Assurance Technician

About the role

As a Construction Quality Assurance professional for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in the Naperville, IL office, you will work in the civil engineering practice on a variety of landfill construction and CCR impoundment closure projects. This full‑time position spends the majority of time in the field, gaining experience while working with the technical team and contractors and interfacing with clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance inspections at landfill and impoundment construction sites, including daily inspections, testing, and sampling.
• Monitor progress and ensure conformance with engineering plans, quality assurance plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards.
• Complete daily testing and survey activities.
• Prepare appropriate paperwork, field daily reports, and manage database entries.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest for extended periods.

Requirements

• 3+ years of landfill CQA project experience, including both soil liner construction and geomembrane liner installation.
• Ability to speak and write professionally.
