About the role

AECOM is seeking a Construction Quality Assurance Inspector. This role involves performing routine duties such as leading QA/QC and inspection of major site infrastructure, horizontal sitework, vertical construction replacement and modernization projects. Duties also include preparing daily reports, reviewing RFIs and submittals, developing and reviewing punch lists, maintaining testing logs, verifying payment applications and schedules, evaluating, selecting, and applying engineering techniques, and conducting daily site safety inspections and toolbox meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily reports, review RFIs and submittals, develop and review punch list, maintain testing and project logs, verify payment applications and schedules.
  • Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge and understanding of site drawings, MOT plans, specifications, end-user policies and standards.
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections and toolbox meetings.
  • Independently perform walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design.
  • Perform quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.
  • Provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 2 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Construction Management Experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years total experience of which 5+ years in a construction management role including experience providing QA/QC management and on-site inspection on construction projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or GIS.
  • Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, document control software such as e-builder, procure, navigating electronic files for specifications and drawings, completing daily reports, and maintaining daily project records.
