Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Field Technician

Responsibilities
- Perform field observation and testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials.
- Communicate with contractors and project managers regarding project status and requirements.
- Aid in laboratory testing programs under the supervision of a Professional Engineer to evaluate soil properties.
- Prepare accurate daily site visit reports.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to read construction plans.
- Proficiency in using the firm's field-testing equipment, including nuclear gauges and other testing tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible work style with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- ACI certification or VDOT Soils and Aggregate Certification preferred.
Other Requirements
- Prolonged standing and may involve repetitive motions.
- May be required to drive hundreds of miles per day or stay out of town during the workweek.
- Lifting: Regularly lift, move, or carry up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60–80 pounds.

Compensation
In accordance with local law, the salary range for this position is USD $19.00 - USD $21.00 /Hr. Compensation varies based on experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
