Construction Project Manager

Tusco is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our Physical Security Division. 📍 This position can be based out of any of our Alabama offices in:Cottondale (Tuscaloosa area)Bessemer (Birmingham area)Huntsville At Tusco, our projects have a purpose. As a Construction Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of multiple projects from planning through completion - leading field teams and subcontractors, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating with customers and project stakeholders, and ensuring work is delivered safely, accurately, on time, and within budget. What you’ll do:Manage construction projects at various stages of executionLead field personnel and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with specificationsPartner with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders during project planning and executionDevelop project plans, scopes, schedules, budgets, and material requirementsManage project costs, conduct cost analyses, and prepare estimates and proposals for small projects and change ordersOversee contract requirements, negotiations, revisions, and additionsIdentify project risks and develop recommendations to mitigate themNavigate schedule impacts, changing site conditions, weather delays, and other challenges that arise during constructionEnsure compliance with contractual requirements, specifications, regulations, industry standards, and Tusco proceduresBuild strong working relationships with customers, owners, vendors, subcontractors, designers, supervisors, and field teamsServe as a key liaison between Tusco, our customers, and our partners throughout the life of each projectApproach customer needs with a customer-first mindset and a sense of urgency What we’re looking for:5+ years of experience managing construction projectsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent experienceProven experience managing project schedules, budgets, costs, teams, subcontractors, and competing prioritiesStrong leadership and the ability to effectively delegate and hold teams accountableExcellent communication and customer-facing skillsStrong organization, attention to detail, and time managementAnalytical thinking and the ability to solve problems quickly and effectivelyAbility to successfully manage multiple active projects at onceProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction scheduling/project management softwareAbility and willingness to learn Tusco’s perimeter security products and solutionsPMP, CCM, DBIA, CQM, ACI, or comparable project management certifications are highly desirable.
