About the role

The Construction Project Manager works in conjunction with the Estimator. The Project Manager is expected to sell the services of the company to the property owner by providing quick, clear, and comprehensive information about the repair and restoration process. The Project Manager must execute the production of the project by demonstrating professional construction and property restoration expertise. They must also manage entire projects by preparing and managing the project timeline to company satisfaction, by securing then scheduling and managing subcontractors, trades and employees on site, for the successful and timely completion of quality work to the satisfaction of the customer and company.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally represent the PDR principles of honesty and integrity.
  • Explain the Paul Davis services, scope, estimate and timeline of completion to the property owner to secure contractual work authorizations and contracts.
  • Document property damage with notes, digital photos then shooting and creating a digital imaging file utilizing Matterport camera technology for inspection and documentation purposes.
  • Achieve a contract closing ratio of ninety percent (90%) or higher.
  • Schedule the work to include: pre-construction on-site meetings, ordering of materials, sequencing, timing, master scheduling, and trades assignments.
  • Secure trades, prepare project timelines, and start jobs in a timely manner.
  • Interface with municipal and other regulatory agencies to secure necessary permits and schedule inspections.
  • Hire and manage appropriate subcontractors and trades or schedule employee assignments and manage same.
  • Manage and inspect all assigned projects for progress.
  • Maintain documentation on job-site inspections and project flow.
  • Maintain professionalism with project conditions: (i.e.: workmanship, homeowner relationships, safety, cleanliness, and tradespeople conduct).
  • Confirm budget and work orders before the start of the project.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Have proficiency with computers and industry related software.
  • Interface with Project Coordinator regarding project progress, completion, and conditions.
  • Maintain constant communication with property owners.
  • Professionally handle any and all complaints.
  • Manage job to speedy conclusion while maintaining legal compliance.
  • Obtain COS upon substantial completion of projects.
  • Oversee subcontractor recruitment, management, and retention.
  • Manage punch list completion, obtain completion certificate, and collect funds as necessary.
  • Deliver great customer service and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current IICRC Certifications in Water and Fire damage restoration preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of previous residential/commercial construction experience.
  • Proven leadership in directing construction and/or restoration crews.
