Construction Project Manager

About the role

Springtide, a division of IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a dynamic and skilled Construction Project Manager with semiconductor industry experience to join our growing team. While candidates based in New York, Arizona, or California are preferred, we welcome qualified candidates from other locations who are able to travel extensively to project sites as needed. This role supports projects in key semiconductor markets and other locations where Springtide secures new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Holds primary responsibility for the achievement of scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives on assigned projects.
• Ensures achievement of corporate goals for assigned projects.
• Attends pre-bid meetings with clients and prepares proposals in conjunction with department heads, directors, and other key individuals.
• Manages client interaction on assigned projects and promotes positive relationships.
• Identifies risks to the project and corporation and works with Project Executives and the Director of Operations to mitigate risks.
• Leads project teams of their own or led by others to a successful conclusion.
• Collaborates with the project discipline lead to determine the scope, complexity, and planning and scheduling requirements of the projects.
• Develops and maintains meeting minutes and Action Items/Needs List for each project.
• Prepares internal monthly financial/schedule reports for the Director of Operations for each project.
• Prepares monthly financial/schedule reports for the Client as requested by the client.
• Coordinates with sub-consultants on the project.
• Assists in identifying and developing innovative methods for improving project management processes and techniques against current SOPs.
• Mentors all developing individuals within the construction project management group.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 10+ years of Construction Project Management experience
• 5+ years of semiconductor project experience
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or planning
• Skilled in the use of IT tools, including spreadsheets, word processing, planning, and scheduling software
• Understanding of Earned Value and other project control methods
