Construction Project Manager
About the role
Prime Residential’s Construction Project Managers oversee and execute capital improvement and construction projects from inception to completion across the company's multifamily residential real estate portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Create project scopes of work and distribute Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Collaborate with property teams to determine property needs, serving as an integral partner to Prime’s Property Management team and other departments.
- Cook up and lead design, pre-construction, construction, and close-out meetings.
- Prepare project status reports, including photo documentation.
- Perform capital assessments of properties during due diligence phases of acquisitions.
- Review design drawings and specifications.
- Create and manage overall project budgets, including reviewing and approving all design and construction pricing.
- Analyze and approve change order requests and out-of-scope requests.
- Support risk management projects.
- Manage project schedules and ensure adherence to specifications and timelines.
- Monitor contractor work quality and progress.
- Close out projects effectively.
- Maintain project records and approve invoices.
- Approve project change orders for both time and money.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management (or related field) preferred.
- Five (5)+ years of construction project management experience required.
- Demonstrated experience working in the multi-family or residential industry preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of construction schedules, procedures, and cost estimating required.
- Working knowledge of permitting processes and building codes.
- Computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and MS Project software required.

Skills
- Construction project management experience.
- Knowledge of architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical drawings and systems.
- Understanding of construction schedules, procedures, and cost estimating.
- Experience with permitting processes and building codes.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project software.
Benefits
Prime Residential offers a competitive salary range of $118,440 - $131,600 annually, plus an annual discretionary bonus.
Pay
$118,440 - $131,600 + annual discretionary bonus
Schedule
Travel as required to perform project and/or company-related tasks, estimated at 30% - 50%.
