The Project Manager works closely with stakeholders, managing relationships and creating benchmarks for successful deliveries. The role includes a relocation bonus if outside Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships with current customers of the company.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Finley’s services and pricing structure.
  • Work on existing and future term contracts.
  • Manage current term contract projects.
  • Prepare take-offs for change order requests from the customer.
  • Utilize the company’s proposal management system on a daily basis, documenting activities, developing prospective customer profiles, and term unit contract formats.
  • Regularly meet with the senior project manager to review weekly project activities, progress on projects, two-week look-ahead, and coordination with FAC’s field superintendents.
  • Meet weekly in FAC’s operations meeting to discuss current projects on FAC’s work-in-progress list.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets customer and company expectations.
  • Administer current GC and future term contracts.
  • Follow up with the customer after project completion.
  • Work with the office staff to invoice completed projects and assist in collecting monies if required.

Requirements

  • Must possess a working knowledge of commercial construction documentation and pricing.
  • Ability to read plans and specifications and translate them into estimates.
  • BS/BA in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within construction.
  • Ability to communicate collaboratively.
  • Well-organized, flexible, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
  • Experience working with commercial or civil construction projects.
  • Advanced computer skills with estimating software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
