Construction Project Manager

About the role
As a Construction Project Manager, you will oversee both residential and commercial reconstruction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves unique challenges due to the nature of rebuild projects and requires daily interaction with subcontractors, in-house skilled tradespeople, property managers, and insurance professionals.
This position offers the opportunity to work with both commercial and residential property owners, collaborate with top subcontractors, and take on increasingly complex projects as your skills grow. It can serve as a stepping stone to a Construction Manager role.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple concurrent projects in various phases of construction
- Build and manage schedules, buyout and coordinate trades, and perform jobsite quality control and punch-out
- Oversee job-level financials, including budgeted and actual expenses, gross margin targets, and change order control
- Conduct site walks, climb ladders, and work in active construction environments
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the reconstruction process
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of hands-on experience managing insurance reconstruction, remodel, or new construction as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Supervisor
- Solid understanding of residential building systems (framing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and finish trade sequencing
- Experience managing time and materials projects
- Valid driver’s license with a stellar driving record
- Strong organizational and client-facing skills
- Team-oriented mindset
Qualifications
- Xactimate estimating (highly preferred)
- Contractor’s license (preferred)
