Minimum Requirements
- To perform work: Associate’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field required; Prior experience with transportation projects on SCDOT roads required; SCDHEC Erosion Prevention & Sediment Control Inspector certification and SCDOT Technician Certifications required.
- Additional related certifications preferred. Candidates who are not certified upon hire will be required to obtain and maintain necessary certifications as a condition of continued employment.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license for South Carolina with a safe driving record.
- Four (4) years of related engineering and/or construction management experience required;
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience required;
- EIT registration and/or PMP preferred;
- Or equivalent combination of experience, training, or advanced education may be accepted.
Special Requirements
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license for South Carolina with a safe driving record;
- Roadway and stormwater construction experience required;
- AutoCAD or MicroStation training preferred;
- A criminal background check will be completed on selected applicant if a current one (less than 3 years old) is not on file.
