About the role
The Construction Project Executive will oversee a portfolio of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, profitably, and to the highest quality standards. This leader will mentor project teams, strengthen client relationships, and drive operational consistency across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive oversight for multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Lead and mentor project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure operational excellence
- Maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary executive point of contact
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, cost controls, and risk management
- Review and approve major project decisions, contracts, buyouts, and change orders
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality expectations, and company processes
- Partner with estimating during preconstruction to support budgeting, value engineering, and planning
- Monitor project performance metrics and drive corrective actions when needed
- Support staffing decisions, resource allocation, and team development
- Collaborate with accounting, operations, and leadership to ensure accurate reporting and financial performance
- Promote a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement across project teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 10–15+ years of commercial construction experience, including leadership of multiple large-scale projects
- Proven success managing project teams and client relationships at an executive level
- Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and risk management
- Proficiency with construction management platforms (e.g., Procore, Sage 300, MS Project)
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to recruit and mentor teams, resolve complex issues, and drive results under pressure
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution
Qualifications
